Azerbaijani insurance company’s assets increase almost 50 percent in 2013

Assets of the Azerbaijani 'Meqa Sıgorta' JSC insurance company stood at 20,093 million manats in late 2013 versus 13.957 million manats early in the same year showing an increase of 43.96 percent, according to the company's report.

The insurance company's financial accountability is audited by independent auditor Emil Mammadov.

The company's long term assets amounted to 2345 million manats in late 2013, while short term assets stood at 17.748 million manats.

In 2013, some 14,117 million manats were accumulated in cash and cash equivalents and one million manats are kept in government securities.

Mega Sıgorta's prepaid authorised capital in late 2013 stood at 10.5 million manats compared to 10 million manats in 2012.

The company's total capital in late 2013 amounted to 11.837 million manats, increasing by 12.63 percent compared with 2012.

The company's revenues last year stood at 10.06 million manats, while expenses amounted to 8.426 million manats. The company ended 2013 with a net profit of 1.307 million manats.

The Mega Sıgorta insurance company started operating under a new brand on October 1, 2010 and has a licence to provide 29 kinds of insurance services, including three mandatory insurance policies.
