Reforms expected in Azerbaijan’s corporate sector development (PHOTO)

The State Securities Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan will work out a package of proposals on the development of the corporate sector regarding the implementation of the Azerbaijani president’s decree ‘On additional measures for the development of entrepreneurship’ dated March 3, 2014.

The State Securities Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan will work out a package of proposals on the development of the corporate sector regarding the implementation of the Azerbaijani president's decree 'On additional measures for the development of entrepreneurship' dated March 3, 2014, SSC head Rufat Aslanli said on March 17 at the conference entitled 'The role of entrepreneurship in economic development: achievements and prospects' in Baku.

"The package will include proposals on various reforms, as well as those on clarifying the functions and procedures of the activities of joint stock companies' governing bodies and clarifying the mechanism of payment of dividends and other issues. Working out of the package will be completed in the coming days, when it will be submitted to the head of state," Aslanli said.

International experts were successfully involved in the development of this segment and their opinions taken into consideration while working out the proposals, according to SSC head.

"I am confident that the implementation of the project using international best practice will contribute to the development of the country's corporate sector," Aslanli added.

A memorandum of understanding was signed between the country's State Securities Committee and the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (employers) Organisation of Azerbaijan during the conference. The document was signed by SCC head Rufat Aslanli and Chairman of the Confederation of Mammad Musayev.
