The head of Turkey's Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Muharrem Yilmaz has resigned, Turkish TRT Haber TV channel reported on June 4.
Yilmaz became the head of the union in 2013.
The Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs was founded on April 2, 1971.
It is one of the influential associations of the country's industrialists. Some 80 percent of Turkey's non-oil foreign trade turnover falls to the union's companies.
The Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs includes around 597 companies.
