Kazakhstan will attract Azerbaijani companies and scientists to participate in the EXPO international exhibition, which will be held in Astana in 2017, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan and Commissioner of the International Specialized Exhibition "Expo-2017" Rapil Zhoshybayev told journalists.

He recalled that the theme of the exhibition will be "Future Energy", and Azerbaijan has experience in the energy sector. Therefore, Kazakhstan is interested in the participation of Azerbaijani business and academia in the EXPO.

Zhoshybayev said that Kazakhstan will hold EXPO presentation in different countries, including Azerbaijan in the near future.

"There will be presentation of not only business opportunities, but also opportunities for tourism. I will hold meeting with scientists, businessmen who want to work in business. Perhaps we will even attract volunteers, students, and in case we would not have enough," he said .

All the Kazakh embassies have already been given instructions for future presentations, and they will discuss the matter with the leadership of the country in which they work, according to the EXPO Commissioner.

Zhoshybayev further said that the exhibition will involve more than 100 countries and over 10 international organizations.

"We will invite everyone who is interested in this," he said.

A number of new facilities, pavilions, about 70 new hotels of different levels and new parking lot across the city will be constructed in preparation for the EXPO in Astana, Zhoshybayev said.

The priority will be given to local companies and companies that have already been working in Astana and know the specifics of work in the city while selecting contractors for the construction of these facilities. Kazakhstan also invited to participate in the construction of sub-contractors and companies with a worldwide reputation.

Furthermore, Zhoshybayev said that Kazakhstan plans to facilitate the visa procedures for those who willing to visit the EXPO.

"At present, the latest technological aspects of visa policy is being introduced. An electronic visa is being introduced. It will be possible anywhere in the world to enter the base via the Internet and get a visa," he said.

Also an option being considered is that anyone who buys a ticket to Kazakhstan can visit the EXPO territory for free.
