Russian aircraft manufacturer Sukhoi Civil Aircraft and Kazakh BEK AIR airline signed an agreement on delivery of seven Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircrafts, the Russian company reported on July 14.
The agreement was signed during the Farnborough International Airshow 2014 in the UK.
Long-range Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircrafts are planned for delivery in full economy configuration with the capacity to carry 103 passengers. Three aircraft will be supplied in 2015 and four in 2016.
"This document opens new prospects on the aviation operations market for SSJ100 aircraft within the Eurasian Economic Union, which was founded according to agreement signed by the Heads of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia in Astana in May 2014," the company said.
BEK AIR is currently flying along 14 national routes in Kazakhstan carrying up to 500,000 passengers annually. In the future, the airline expects to expand its route network in Kazakhstan, launch new routes to Russia, Asia and the Middle East.
