International reserves of Georgian National Bank decreases by over $48 million

As of late June, the international reserves of Georgia’s National Bank amounted to $2.498 billion according to preliminary data, which is $48.8 million less than the figure for the end of May.

As of late June, the international reserves of Georgia's National Bank amounted to $2.498 billion according to preliminary data, which is $48.8 million less than the figure for the end of May.

As the bank reported, international reserves which converted into foreign currency amounted to 2.275 billion at the end of June, including $1.596 billion that was placed on the securities, and the accounts of foreign banks and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) at $679 million.

The amount of funds placed in the SDR (special drawing rights) at the end of June amounted to $223 million, and the reserve position of the Georgian National Bank in the IMF- $15,500.

Since the beginning of the year, international reserves of the Georgian National Bank decreased by $325.3 million.
