Georgia’s internal debt increased by 450 million Lari

Georgia's domestic debt made up 1.8 billion Lari as of July 31 ($ 1 = 1.76 lari). The Georgian Ministry of Finance stated that the growth amounted to 450 million, mainly due to the issuance of securities.

Georgia's internal debt has increased by 34% since early 2014.

The debt increased by 100 million in July.

Most of the domestic debt (about 1.2 billion) accounts for valuable treasury securities. Hence, the 10-year term bonds make 95 million Lari, 5-year-term ones 360 million, 2-year-term ones 332 million, 12-month-term ones 374,200,000 Lari.

The domestic debt amounted to 1.345 billion Lari in late 2013. It increased by 114 million compared to 2012. The domestic debt increased by only $ 62 million in 2012 compared to 2011.
