Kazakhstan’s GDP growth to reach five percent in 2015

The Kazakh government approved the forecast of the country's socio-economic development for 2015-2019, according to the Kazakh Ministry of National Economy.

This forecast is based on the international organizations' data for global economy growth and world prices for main export commodities, according to the statement.

Real GDP growth is expected to reach five percent in Kazakhstan in 2015, 5.6 percent in 2016, 6.8 percent in 2017, 5.8 percent in 2018, 6.5 percent in 2019, according to the forecast.

Nominal GDP is projected to increase from 45 trillion tenge ($ 1 -182 tenge) in 2015 to 72.8 trillion tenge in 2019. GDP per capita will hit more than $13,900 in Kazakhstan in 2015 and will increase to $21,400 in 2019.

Kazakhstan's exports will increase from $79.2 billion in 2015 to $93.5 billion in 2019, imports - from $50.1 billion in 2015 to $57.8 billion in 2019.

The Kazakh National Bank expects inflation to hit 6-8 percent in 2015 with further 5-7 percent decrease in the medium term.

The parameters of the Kazakh budget for 2015-2017 were worked out on the basis of the macroeconomic forecast and the main priorities of economic policy.

Taking into account the projected growth of GDP and the volume of imports, the revenues of the country's budget (excluding transfers) are projected at 4.338.4 billion tenge in 2015, 4.753.5 billion tenge - in 2016, 5.147.7 billion tenge - 2017.
