Facebook users in Azerbaijan will get faster and better access to the content of Facebook social network, the source on the telecommunications market told Trend.

It will be possible after the launch of Azerbaijan's content delivery network (CDN - Content Delivery Network) on one of the world's largest backbone Level 3 Communications operator, according to the source. All Facebook content is cached in the network of Level 3, and that will satisfy the needs of customers looking for a faster and more accurate access to the content of the social network.

"Level 3 Communications is a provider of the first level, which has one of the largest networks of backbone data transmission in the world at its disposal. Initially a 10 Gigabit server will be based in Azerbaijan, the capacity of which will be increased if its functioning capacity reaches 50 percent within the first three months. Work in this direction will be implemented before the end of the year," the source said.

Level 3 Content Delivery Network in Azerbaijan will provide additional capacity, and reduce the load on the backbone network and server, which will make it possible to post content closer to the end user.
