The trade balance for the first eight months of this year was negative, amounting to more than $ 2.4 billion.
In January-August, Tajikistan had foreign trade relations with 93 countries, including 10 CIS countries.

During the eight months of this year Tajikistan exported goods worth $ 697.2 million, which is 14.3 percent less than during the same period last year. During the abovementioned period Tajikistan imported goods worth over $ 3.1 billion, which is 16.5 percent more than during the same period of 2013.

The main trade partners of Tajikistan are Russia (over $ 968 million), Kazakhstan (over $ 521 million), China (about $ 510 million.), Turkey (over $ 378 million), Switzerland (about $ 318 million.).

In 2013, Tajikistan's foreign trade turnover amounted to about $ 5.285 billion, which is 2.9 percent more than in 2012.
