The Azerbaijani mobile operator Azerfon is working on localizing Vodafone Mobile Connect (VMC) interface software, Corporate Product Development Manager Hasan Asgarov told Trend .
VMC is a software application for a GSM modem, which allows desktop and mobile computer to connect to the Internet.
According to Asgarov, the localization software will be completed before launching the 3G network standard scheduled for late December. Subscribers will be able to use the Internet, send and receive e-mails, and access documents stored on the server in the area of Azerfon's network coverage.
The VMC software shell has a convenient user interface, allowing SMS-messaging exchange and access to the phonebook on SIM cards to VPN and WLAN.
Custom devices for data transfer in 3G will also be available after the launch of 3G networks for commercial use.
