The number of installations of Google Chrome internet browser in Azerbaijan increased by 18 percent in Jan.-Nov. 2013, Global Stats statistics center said on Dec.21.
The share of Google Chrome market in Azerbaijan increased by 37.9 percent compared to the same period of 2012, according to Global Stats. Google Chrome is the most popular browser in Azerbaijan which has around 61.49 percent share at the market.
A significant decrease was observed in the number of installations of Opera browser in 11 months. The share of Opera's market decreased by 28.03 percent and amounted to 18.72 percent during the reporting period which is by 46.72 percent less compared to the same period of 2012.
The number of Internet Explorer users also decreased by 18.53 percent in Jan.-Nov. The share of Internet Explorer's market in Azerbaijan amounts to 9.28 percent. The number of installations of this browser decreased by 19.17 percent compared to the same period of 2012.
The share of Mozilla Firefox browser has also decreased by 26.61 percent and its share in the market amounted to 6.07 percent.
The number of installations of Yandex browser increased by about 2.8 times in Jan.-Nov. and its share in Azerbaijan's internet browser market amounted to 3.34 percent.
