Azerbaijan submits rules for determining e-signature tariffs for international discussion

Azerbaijan's proposal to discuss the rules for determining the tariffs for the use of the electronic signature has been included ​​in the agenda of meetings of committees of the Regional Commonwealth of Communications (RCC), which will be held September 22-24, 2014 in Uzbekistan, according to a RCC report Aug. 28.

The report notes that this issue was included in the agenda of the joint meeting of the RCC Commission on Information and economy of informational communications on the proposal of the Administration of Azerbaijan according to the decision of the joint meeting of the RCC Commission on the Economy of Communications, RCC Telecommunication Operators Board and RCC Telecommunications Commission from May 28-29, 2014.

The agenda also involves issues of cooperation of the CIS countries in the design and development of the information society, the discussion of cross-border space of trust on the basis of the Internet, issues of the role of the intellectual potential for economic growth in the information society.

In addition, the meeting will review the progress of works on the development and creation of new international standards on the basis of the pilot project information integrated system of foreign and mutual trade of the Customs Union, as well as the promotion of these standards in the member countries of the RCC.

Commission will also discuss the development of model laws "On e-government" and "On the cross-border information exchange of electronic documents," the question of the exclusion of telecommunication services from natural monopolies and others.

Meeting of the RCC will be held within the framework of the "Week of ICT InfoCom-2014" (September 23-27, 2014). A series of events will be held within the framework of the "Week": ICTExpo Exhibition, BestSoft Uzbekistan exhibition and forum of programmers of Uzbekistan, National Summit on Information and Communication Technologies, Internet festival of the national .UZ domain.
