Israeli IT-companies are interested in expanding their presence and the amount of investments in the Azerbaijani market of information and communication technologies, Israeli Ambassador Dan Stav said at a meeting with Azerbaijani Minister of Communications and High Technologies Ali Abbasov Oct. 1.
He said that Bakutel international exhibition and conference played an important role.
The diplomat spoke about the plans for participation of Israeli companies in BakuTel-2015 exhibition, where Israel will be represented by a national pavilion.
"Moreover, holding of the "Israeli-Azerbaijani forum on high technologies" will be supported," he said.
The forum will be held with the support of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Communications and High Technologies and the Azerbaijani-Israeli Chamber of Commerce.
The ministry said that the high-tech industry is one of the most important areas of cooperation between the two countries.
An agreement reached by the countries earlier opens up new directions and helps strengthen the bilateral cooperation in this field.
