Visa International and Azerbaijan’s GoldenPay have concluded a contract for issuing the hesab.az co-branded cards, a source involved in the project told Trend.
According to the source, technical and legal issues have been fully resolved to launch the project.
The hesab.az co-branded cards will be issued in autumn in partnership with an Azerbaijani bank, the name of which has not been disclosed yet.
At the initial stage, it is planned to issue around 10,000 cards.
According to GoldenPay, the cards will be in demand, taking into account that there are 260,000 users of the hesab.az payment system.
It will be possible to buy the cards after registering on the hesab.az portal or in branches of a partner-bank. The card holders will be able to make non-cash payments for purchases, receive discounts, earn bonuses, etc.
