The Azerpocht state enterprise (SE) will apply postal money transfer on Western Union and Travelex systems. The work on realization of these systems is underway, the Communications and Information Technologies Ministry told Trend.
Besides, relevant trainings were held for employees of Azerpocht to improve their skills.
The agreement between Azerpocht, Western Union and Travelex on Azerbaijan’s joining to the system was signed early May 2005.
“Azerbpocht may carry out postal money order from any point of the world in 15-20 minutes starting the application of the service in September,” the Ministry said.
The Communications Ministry also noted that postal money transfer by Western Union and Travelex systems will be first carried out in Baku, then in the regions of the country.
