LONG-DISTANCE TELEPHONE SERVICES COMPRISE 8.4%

The long distance and city talks have grown 8.4% since the beginning of 2005, the head of Aztelekom Production Association (PA), Mahammad Mammadov, told Trend.

According to Mammadov, as a result of work on increase of quality of international in-going traffic grew 29.7% or 23.5 million minutes, while out-going traffic вЂ" 27.8% or 5.3 million minutes.

Mammadov said that in this period they ensured non-password access to Aztelekom.Net, a state provider, from the territory of 22 telecommunications joints. The incomes in the first half year from the services comprised 1,185,5 million manats and currently the number of network users exceeds 13,000.

In this period the work on reconstruction of telephone stations, in particular, telephone communications in Yevakh District were fully transferred to electron system, new automatic telephone stations with the total capacity of 5632 numbers were commissioned in 17 rural areas.
