The Azerbaijani government will determine the expediency of the application of the per-minute payment for local telephone conversation till late 2005, Ali Abbasov, the Communication and Information Technologies Minister, told Trend.
According to Abbasov, if the government makes a decision on the transformation to the per-minute payment, technical work may be carried out in short term.
Touching upon the decrease of the international conversations tariffs, Abbasov noted that appropriate work was currently carried out in this regard. “We seek for optimal decision in this direction,” he added.
The international conversations tariffs were reduced by 30-40% in September 2004.
