REPs OF COMMUNICATION MINISTRY PARTICIPATES IN MEETING OF WPU

The representatives of the Azerbaijani Communications and Information Technology Ministry will participate in annual meeting of the Administrative Council of the World Post Union (WPU). The meeting will be held in Bern from 10 to 21 October, Novruz Mammadov, the head of the Post Division of the Ministry, told Trend.

According to Mammadov, Azerbaijan plans active participation in the meeting, where AzerExpresspocht enterprise will be handed over silver certificate for high qualitative services in the postal sphere.

The meeting will discuss current issues on results of the taken measures by the WPU to prevent illegal spreading of postal stamps all over the world.

The representatives of the Ministry also intend to emphasize illegal publish and spreading of the postal stamps of the self-proclaimed Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.

40 countries are member of the Administrative Council of the WPU.

The WPU was established in October 1874 to organize and improve postal relations, as well as establish favor conditions for development of the international cooperation. The Union consists of 190 countries.
