Aztelekom Production Association (PA), the enterprise of the Communications and Information Technologies Ministry, will render CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) services to subscribers till late 2005. Work on installation 5,000- number CDMA equipment in the administrative building of Aztelekom, the Information Centre of the
Communications Ministry told Trend.
They are currently working on provision of Sumgayit town, the settlements Sulutapa, Fatmai, Novkhani and Khirdalan with wireless communications. Aztelekom installs transmission stations in the territory. Telephone index of the new services will be 408.
Baku Telephone Communication Unit also carries out similar work on РЎDMA and plans to complete them till 2005. The equipment was purchased from Chinese Huawei.
