Majority of swine flue infected arrived to Georgia from Ukraine

The National Diseases Control Center has published the confirmed statistics of A/H1N1  infected cases in Georgia. It includes 46 of 48 recorded cases. Ten of them were infected in July, six in August, and another six in September, five in October and 18 in November. Medical forecasts that the pandemic will begin at the end of November are justifying.

The infected are 20 women and 26 men. Some 38 cases of infection were imported and 10 cases of infection happened in Georgia.

Majority of the infected, or 9 people, arrived in Georgia from Ukraine, four from Spain, six from the UK, five from Germany, three from Turkey, two from Bulgaria, two from the United States, one from France, one from Malaysia, one from Italy, one from Sweden, and one from the Netherlands.

Seven people infected as a result of a contact with people who arrived from abroad and three people have infected inside the country.

So far, a total of 38 people have recovered, while ten are still receiving medical treatment.
