SOCAR starts drilling new well in Azerbaijan's onshore field
SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) has started drilling a new well in the onshore oil field "Saadan". The well №1804 will be 1400 meters deep. "Saadan" field is located in the Caspian-Guba petroleum district.
ADB ready to allocate $150 million to "LUKOIL" for gas production increase in Uzbekistan
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is considering to provide additional funds to the Russian "LUKOIL" oil company for Kandym project implementation in Uzbekistan.
The total amount of additional funding in the form of credit and guarantees on commercial risks could reach $150 million.
Azerbaijan to increase gas supply through Iran
Azerbaijan intends to increase gas supplies to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and requested to Iran over transportation across the country's territory in this regard, Iranian Deputy Minister of Oil for International Affairs Ali Majedi said, according to the Iranian IRNA news agency. At present, Azerbaijan supplies gas to the NAR in the amount of less than one billion cubic meters per year.
Iran intends to accept the proposal of the Azerbaijani side, and a meeting devoted to the subject will be in the near future, according Majedi.
Iran offers to ensure Uzbekistan oil supply on international transport corridor
Iran offers to establish the supply of oil to Uzbekistan in the amount of up to one million tons per year through Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan-Iran-Oman transport corridor, according to the report of the Iranian Embassy in Tashkent.
The foreign ministers of the four countries signed a memorandum of understanding on the entry into force of the agreement on the creation of the corridor in early August.
The agreement on the establishment of new international transport corridor, which will connect the Central Asian states to the ports of the Persian Gulf, was signed in April 2011.
