During Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili's visit to Kuwait with the governmental members, Georgia and Kuwait signed agreements on investment protection and avoidance of double taxation. Georgian Economic Development Minister Zurab Pololikashvili undersigned the agreement from the Georgian side.
"Kuwait is a small, but rich country. The country has made investments totaling over $30 billion over past few years," the minister said.
The agreement is an important precondition for deepening bilateral economic relations, the Georgian Embassy in Kuwait said.
