554 traders fined on Azerbaijani consumer market

The State Supervision Service on Consumer market at the Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry removed over 340 kilogram of the expired products from retail sale points during the monitoring, the ministry said.

Monitoring carried out in the Sabunchu and Nizami districts of Baku, as well as in the Ganja city of Azerbaijan. The expired food products include sausages, confectionery products, vegetable oils, natural juices, beer, milk and milk products, fish, mayonnaise, and more.

Protocols on administrative violations have been complied on administrative violations in accordance with the legislation.

Generally, after the Azerbaijani president's decree on amendments and supplements to the Code of Administrative Violations, dated May 17, 51 enterprises have been fined worth 194,600 manats and 503 individuals - 751,300 manats.

Monitoring continues.

On Oct. 19, the official exchange rate is 0.803 manat to $1.
