China is ready to buy any volumes f Kazakh grain, Kazakh Prime-Minister Karim Masimov said at a meeting of the government.
Masimov said that during his recent visit to China while discussing the problem with sale of grain he got the following answer: "We will buy as much grain as you will be able to propose."
According to minister of agriculture Akylbek Kurishbayev, gross grain crop hits 22.7 million tons in bunker weight in Kazakhstan in 2009. It is 5.7 million tones or 34 percent more compared to 2008. Kazakh export potential hit 9-10 million tons of grain in 2009.
Prime-Minister charged the ministry of agriculture to accelerate preparation of necessary documents to export grain to China.
