170kg more expired products removed from sale in Azerbaijan

The State Supervision Service on Consumer market at the Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry removed roughly 170 kilogram of the expired products from retail sale points during the monitoring, the ministry said.

Monitoring carried out in the Narimanov, Nasimi and Binagadi districts of Baku, as well as in the Ganja city of Azerbaijan. The expired food products include sausages, confectionery products, vegetable oils, natural juices, beer, milk and milk products, mayonnaise, and more.

Protocols on administrative violations have been complied on enterprise and individuals.

Generally, after the Azerbaijani president's decree on amendments and supplements to the Code of Administrative Violations, dated May 17, 53 enterprises have been fined worth 199,200 manats and 524 individuals - 783,000 manats.

Monitoring continues.

On Oct. 26, the official exchange rate is 0.8031 manat to $1.
