As of November 1, Azerbaijan Mortgage Fund (AMF), acting under the Central Bank issued mortgage loans to 1,400 citizens in amount of 59 million manat, AMF said. The mortgage lending was resumed in June 2009
In October about 300 families received mortgage loans in amount of 12 million manat.
In general, since March 2006, when mortgage lending started through AMF, approximately 3,400 mortgage loans totaling 134 million manat were provided to the citizens of Azerbaijan.
Today the agents of AMF are 18 banks.
AMF was founded in December 2005 and in March 2006 began to issue mortgage loans. In June 2007 the Fund stopped lending due to lack of funding, but resumed it in June 2009.
