Kurmanbek Bakiev, the President of Kyrgyzstan, will take part in an economic summit of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), presidential press service reported.
The summit of the resident committee on economic and trade cooperation will take place in Istanbul (Turkey) on November 8-9, 2009, news agency "24.kg" reported.
The head of the state will reportedly deliver speech and hold a number of meetings with leaders of OIC countries.
Participation of Kyrgyzstan in OIC forums extends possibilities of political and economic cooperation with leading countries of the Islamic world. Kyrgyzstan joined the Organization of the Islamic Conference on December 1, 1992, at the extraordinary conference of the OIC foreign minister in Jiddah (Saudi Arabia).
