Azerbaijan has reported one more case of swine flu, the Azerbaijani Health Ministry said today.
A Baku resident was diagnosed with the A/H1N1 virus Nov.11. The status of the patient is satisfactory and is undergoing outpatient treatment.
So far, Azerbaijan has revealed 14 swine flu cases.
All medical facilities belonging to the Azerbaijani Health Ministry have upped their security due to the swine flu. The ministry has given instructions to medical personnel around the country to take preventive measures in their institutions and check all persons registered at each local clinic. According to the ministry, active measures are taken in children's clinics, schools and kindergartens.
The WHO has donated 300 million doses of a vaccine against the A/H1N1 virus to 90 countries, including Azerbaijan. The first shipment will be delivered to the country in November. Vaccination will be carried out among people at risk group.
