Roughly 267,200 taxpayers called the Azerbaijani Tax Ministry's service number in 2009.
About 54,000 calls were answered by experts and 213,000 by electronic operators.
Taxpayers were generally interested in different types of taxes, mainly income tax and simplified tax, registration and accounting using "single-window" tax principle and tax accounting.
The service not only answers questions about taxes, but also receives complaints about tax law violations and illegal acts by the tax authorities.
