Ailing Japanese carrier Japan Airlines Corp (JAL) filed for bankruptcy protection Tuesday under the Corporate Rehabilitation Law, Kyodo News reported. The Japanese government at the same time vowed its support in planned restructuring efforts for Asia's largest carrier, DPA reported.
