The Azerbaijani banks and insurance companies show more responsible attitude to the obligatory audit control compared to other economic facilities, Azerbaijani Auditors Chamber Chairman Vahid Novruzov said today
"Our main objective is to attract all economic facilities to audit control," Novruzov said
According to Novruzov, the Chamber developed proposals to the Code on administrative law violations envisaging toughening the administrative measures in cases of avoiding audit control
"The fines will be determined at a level no lower than the average pay for the passage of the audit, which depends on the work volume," Novruzov said
"State-run enterprises are not our members and pass control in the Azerbaijani Accountancy Chamber," Novruzov said
At present roughly 50 auditors companies operate in Azerbaijan. The Chamber did not reveal breaking in the companies activities in 2009
The Auditors Chamber introduced the international auditing standards Jan.1, 2010 and in connection with this held a workshop on "Introduction of the international auditing standards. The challenges the Chamber faces" Feb.3.
This event brings together all auditors familiarizing with the new standards for auditing.
