USAID launches training for Azerbaijani students

Nine-week course on Risk management and assessment of the draft economic development and public budget has begun in Azerbaijan with support of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).Training is conducted by the American Duke University professors of North Carolina state for the Azerbaijan State Economic University students.

Courses, which are allocated for MS students, will cover financial, economic issues, as well as profit analysis and cost analysis and risk management for the interested parties. They will help students to use their contribution to identify the economic policy of Azerbaijan.

Courses organized with the support of the International Center of Duke, the Azerbaijan State Economic University and the USAID program to support reforms in trade and investment.

"These courses will enhance the cooperation between the Azerbaijani and American universities," said Scott Taylor, the head of USAID in Azerbaijan.

"The training is held for the second year and we look forward to continuing them in the future," said Shamsaddin Hajiyev, the rector ASEU.
