Minister: Georgia expects $1bln foreign investment in 2010

Georgia expects to attract $1 billion of foreign investment in 2010, Georgian Economy Minister Zurab Pololikashvili said.

"Investment will come from those countries, with which the Georgian authorities were negotiating in the past year," he added.  

2009 was negative in terms of investment, however, this year the volume of investments will exceed last year's figure by 30 percent, the minister stressed.
