Syrian-Turkish cooperation program ratifies 27 new joint projects

Syrian-Turkish Joint Committee for Regional Cooperation Program decided to add 27 new joint projects to the program, Syrian daily Al-Tishreen reported on Wednesday.
  
During a meeting on Tuesday in the northern Syrian province of Aleppo, the program, which was launched in July 2007, ratified 27 new projects as part of its fourth phase, including joint projects in the Syrian provinces of al-Hasaka, al-Raqqa and in the Turkish cities of Sanli Urfa and Mardin, Xinhua reported.
  
The program launched 86 joint projects in the first three phases, mainly focusing on agriculture, elementary education and cultural reservation, said the report.
  
The new projects, with an estimated value of about 7.5 million U.S. dollars, are related to agricultural researches, border fire brigades, school rehabilitation, historic sites restoration and scientific and environmental cooperation.
  
Late on Tuesday, a medical center, co-funded by the Syrian State Planning Commission and the Syrian-Turkish Regional Cooperation Program was opened in Deir Jmal town in Aleppo province.
