The 14th meeting of the Trade Policy Coordinating Committee under the program of Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) kicked off in Baku today.

The 14th meeting of the Trade Policy Coordinating Committee under the program of Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) kicked off in Baku today.

"Over the past ten years, CAREC has passed a successful stage of development in terms of activity and covering a variety of areas. The shared compatibility of this program helps the CAREC member countries to overcome difficulties, thanks to the participation of other countries," the Head of the Department on Foreign Trade Policy and WTO under the Economic Development Ministry Bakhtiar Alishev said.

A workshop on medium-term priority projects of CAREC 2020 is being held within the meeting.
A meeting at the highest level will be held within the CAREC Program on June 7.

The meeting is attended by representatives of the program's ten member countries - Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, China, Afghanistan, Mongolia, Turkmenistan and Pakistan, as well as representatives of the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Asian Development Bank, the Islamic Development Bank and the UN Development Program.
