Bolat Akchulakov was appointed as the new head of the national oil and gas company KazMunaiGas, KazMunaiGas said.
Bolat Akchulakov replaced Kairgeldy Kabyldin. Previously, he held the post of director general in "PSA" company.
Bolat Akchulakov was born in Guriev (now - Atyrau) on April 9, 1971. He graduated from the Kazakh State Management Academy in 1993.
He worked as chief economist in the "Alem Bank Kazakhstan", the head of the securities department, deputy director of the asset management department of the Central Asian Bank of Cooperation and Development, director of the department of the Tengiz project in Kazakhoil and executive director in KMG. He also served as vice Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Managing Director in Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund. He was a member of the Board of Directors in KMG. He has been working as director general in PSA Company since July 2010.
KazMunaiGas national company is the Kazakh national operator for hydrocarbon exploration, production, processing and transportation.
