Turkmenistan, Austria to hold talks on investments in Ashgabat

A program of the Turkmen-Austrian business forum, scheduled for next week in Ashgabat, includes a number of intergovernmental bilateral meetings and negotiations, the Turkmen government said on Saturday.

A program of the Turkmen-Austrian business forum, scheduled for next week in Ashgabat, includes a number of intergovernmental bilateral meetings and negotiations, the Turkmen government said on Saturday.

The agenda will include issues of development of efficient interaction, in particular in trade and economic cooperation and investment volume.

According to report, a great Austrian delegation consisting of representatives of the government agencies and business circles will arrive to attend business forum in Ashgabat.

At a government meeting, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov instructed to ensure high-level organization of the upcoming business forum, "designed to contribute to establish a multi-aspect mutually beneficial cooperation between Turkmenistan and Austria".

The event will take place during the Austrian Federal President Heinz Fischer's official visit to Turkmenistan.
It is expected that following the visit a package of bilateral documents will be signed.

Austrian companies are involved in implementation of over 20 Turkmen projects in construction and reconstruction of facilities of the economy, exploration and production of hydrocarbon resources.
