The share of non-oil sector in Azerbaijan's GDP increased from 40.7 percent to 44.4 percent over the last five years, Minister of Economic Development Shahin Mustafayev said at the international conference "20 Years of Independence: achievements and challenges to the progressive, equitable and dynamic nation-building" in Baku today.
"The country's strategic currency reserves exceed the volume of external debt by more than 8 times, and amounted to more than $40 billion," Mustafayev said.
"Meat production increased by 1.9 times, poultry by 2.4 times, milk by 1,3 times, potatoes by 1.2 times, fruits by 1.3 times over the last seven years," Mustafayev said.
