The Kyrgyz Parliament confirmed the candidacy of Askarbek Zhanibekov, proposed by Prime Minister Omurbek Babanov, to the post of Minister of Agriculture and Melioration in the country, KyrTAG reported on Wednesday.
The candidacy was supported by 94 votes from total 95.
Zhanibekov previously served as General Director of Reyna Kench agricultural complex.
He also served as deputy governor of Issik-Kul oblast, as well as vice-president of Kyrgyz Equestrian Federation.
Previous Minister of Agriculture and Melioration Saparbek Tinayev resigned for health state.
