Azerbaijan, Baku, March 30 / Trend A.Hasanov /

All cards of the Azerbaijani Bank of Baku have already been migrated to its own processing center, which launched on Feb. 20 and is already working in a normal mode, the bank told Trend on Friday.

Earlier, the Bank of Baku has used an outsourcing model of processing, which significantly limited the opportunities for the development and implementation of competitive products and services. The bank said the new platform has allowed Bank of Baku to fully control their own payment business, promptly issue new card products, effectively manage a network of ATMs and offer additional services to its customers.

"Technically, the bank is ready to handle cards of other banks of Azerbaijan as well, but has no plans to provide this service," the bank said.

Currently, Bank of Baku has about 54,000 cards, by the end of the year the bank expects increase in this figure.

Azerbaijan has five processing centers - Azericard, MilliKart, TexKart, RoyalCard and processing KapitalBank.

The credit cards of Bank of Baku were previously served in the MilliKart.

The Bank of Baku was established in 2005 by mergering two local private banks - Bank of Baku and IlkBank
