Caspian Power 2012, the Caspian Region's only specialised energy exhibition, will open on 5 June 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan. Bringing together local and international power industry experts, this event aims to promote new projects and technologies into Azerbaijan, a statement by Iteca Caspian company says Monday.
This year's exhibition space has doubled reflecting the solid growth of this event. Participants from Germany, Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkey and Ukraine, along with the State Agency on Alternative and Renewable Energy Sources, Goknur Baki, Schneider Electric and Azenco STP Sumgait Technology Park have confirmed their participation.
The exhibition will be divided into sectors, covering power generation, electrical equipment, alternative energy as well as cable and wire products and lighting.
Alternative energy will be one of this year's key topics, with the State Agency on Alternative and Renewable Energy Sources running the latest projects in this field. Wind energy will also be a focal point, and Azenco STP Sumgait Technology Park will showcase their solar panels at the event.
Caspian Power will be held alongside Caspian Oil and Gas, the region's largest oil and gas event.
