Azerbaijan, Baku, June 19 / Trend V. Zhavoronkova/
Kyrgyzstan is not interested in building rail road through Tajikistan, Kyrgyz Transport and Communication Minister Kakilbek Sultanov told Tazabek agency, Asia-Plus reported.
Tajikistan proposed the project of Iran- Afghanistan- Tajikistan- Kyrgyzstan - China railroad to Kyrgyzstan. Its implementation needs consent of Kyrgyzstan because this railroad will pass the territory of the republic.
Sultanov said Kyrgyzstan has low interest in this project, because the country now considers China- Kyrgyzstan - Uzbekistan project, which is, as the minister said, more important for Bishkek from economic and strategic point of view.
He added that there is a possibility that Kyrgyzstan will not agree to participate in this project.
