A rocket carrier Proton-M with the upper block the Briz-M and the spacecraft equipment Express-MD2 and Telkom-3, was launched from Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazakhstan on Monday night, Roscomos said on Tuesday.
The launch took place at 01:31 Astana time. The separation of spacecraft Telkom-3 from the upper stage Breeze-M is expected at 8.44 Moscow time on August 7, Express-MD2 - at 9.14 Moscow time.
The satellite Express-MD2, created by the Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center together with the Italian division of Thales Alenia Space, is designed for continuous round the clock relay information flows in different directions in the system of satellite communication and broadcasting in Russia.
Spacecraft Telkom-3 is created by Reshetnev Information Satellite Systems. The device is designed to provide communication services and television broadcasting in the territory of Indonesia and Indochina.
