Tajikistan decreases textile production import

Tajikistan decreased the volume of textile production import due to insignificant growth of production within the country, Avesta.Tj reported on Tuesday.

The import decreased by 4 percent during the first seven month of the year compared to a similar period of 2011.

The decrease amounted to $800,000, while the total import made up about $19.2 million.

But, in spite of the decrease, over 90 percent of the Tajikistan's internal textile market consists of imported production.
