Azerbaijan, Baku, Sept 17 /Trend A.Hasanov/
The anthrax situation in Azerbaijan is under control and remains stable, head of the press service of the State Veterinary Service Yolchu Khanveli told Trend on Monday.
He noted that the vaccination of livestock is held every year during the first 2 quarters in order to prevent the spread of anthrax in Azerbaijan.
"There are potential sources of the infection in Azerbaijan, and if not to spend timly immunization of animals, anthrax can make itself known," Khanveli said.
"In the last decade of August, only one animal was diagnosed, but it died before it could infect other animals and was burned," he said.
He added that there were no other cases of anthrax.
