Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, Sept. 27 / Trend H. Hasanov /

Deputy Chairman of the Turkmen Cabinet of Ministers Annamuhammet Gochyev will attend the next meeting of the Council of CIS Heads of Governments in Yalta, an official Turkmen source said on Thursday.

The corresponding decree was signed by Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Yalta will host the third investment forum 'Yalta business meetings' of the CIS member states on September 28-29.

In mid-September President Berdimuhamedov at a meeting with head of the CIS executive committee Sergei Lebedev in Ashgabat urged CIS member states to enhance energy cooperation.

President Berdimuhamedov has pointed to the possible common ground of mutual interests.

The Turkmen president has confirmed that Ashgabat is ready to consider the potential partners' proposals of those interested in joint projects for the development and production of hydrocarbons and construction of the related industrial infrastructure, including the development of a pipeline network.

Russia and Turkmenistan in the CIS are the major exporters of natural gas.
Russia receives Turkmenistan's gas by pipeline Central Asia - Centre (CAC) through Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. The customer is Russian Gazprom which signed an agreement in 2003 with Turkmenistan on gas supplies for 25 years.

Currently the CAC does not work at full capacity. Russia under the influence of the global recession has reduced its output since 2010, to 10 billion cubic meters of gas which is four times less than in 2008.
