Kosta Petrov, the Global CEO of P World and TV producer, has talked to trend.az about the event.
- Kosta, there are less than two months until the Marketing Kingdom Baku. What should delegates expect at Azerbaijan's first ever global marketing event?
Yes, we have less than two months to go and we are already on over 200 delegates. It is going to be an amazing show, we can promise you that. We are currently working very hard with our speakers to deliver a cutting edge event focusing on the latest trends but as well as challenges in the global marketing industry. Our speakers will cover some of the most important trends in today's marketing such as social media, customer marketing, talking to your customers, advertising and many other topics. Our aim is for our delegates to leave the event with practical tools which they can afterwards implement in their companies.
- How difficult was to get all of these speakers to Azerbaijan?
Well this is not the first time we organize the Marketing Kingdom event. Actually this will be the 8th edition of the event. In the past two years we have made a lot of friends in the global marketing community and they understand the importance of the event for the country and were very happy to participate. And of course I told them how amazing Azerbaijan is. I had such an amazing time here when we organized the Baku PR Experience. This country is the place to be right now and I am sure many more big events will happen here very soon.
- What makes the Marketing Kingdom different from other marketing events in Azerbaijan?
Well this is actually going to be the first ever global marketing event. In today's fast changing world we all have to follow the global trends and try to implement them on local level. Also, never before have so many global marketing gurus spoken at one event, so we are very happy about that. Delegates can expect a great show but most importantly they will learn new things that will position them as market leaders. This is the event to attend this spring.
- What are some of the presentations we can expect at the event?
The two day event is packed with great presentations. We are opening the event with a presentation by the marketing director from the London Olympics. He will talk about engaging your key audience by providing them with a great experience. During the two days we will also have a mini workshop on the latest advertising trends by Marvin Liao, who was the commercial director at Yahoo! and is one of America's biggest advertising experts. Delegates attending will also be able to hear presentations by Lego on community engagement, talking to your customers by SAP and how marketing and PR should work together for maximum benefit by Microsoft, to name but a few. All the presentations are great so I am sure delegates will be able to learn a lot from our speakers.
- Are you satisfied with the response of the Azerbaijani companies when it comes to Marketing Kingdom?
We are so happy with everyone. Firstly, our main sponsor Azercell - they are a great partner and I together we are creating an amazing show. Pasha Bank has also been a great friend of our event. We're working all together on putting on state-of-the-art event! The fact that we already have over 200 registered delegates and so many supporters says it all. This event is something we really look forward to!
