OPEC: Iran's oil production in January amounts to 3,705 tb/d

Iran's oil production in January amounted to 3,705 tb/d, compared to 3,710 tb/d in December, 2012, data from OPEC's February 2013 report, based on direct communication show.

At the same time, according to the report, data based on secondary sources shows that Iran produced 2,691 thousand barrels of oil per day, which is slightly more compared to December's 2,663 tb/d.

Total OPEC crude oil production averaged 30.32 mb/d in January, representing a minor decline of 21 tb/d from the previous month, according to secondary sources.

Crude oil production increased in Angola, Iran, Iraq, and Venezuela, while declining in Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, Algeria, the UAE, and Libya.

Total OPEC crude oil production averaged 30.32 mb/d in January, representing a minor decline of 21 tb/d from the previous month, according to secondary sources.

Iran now holds 4th place after Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Kuwait, among OPEC's top oil producing countries.

In December, Iran produced 2,656 thousand barrels of oil per day in December, which is slightly less than it did in November 2012.

Iran Heavy oil sold for $108.52 per barrel in January, compared to 106.56 per barrel in December 2012, according to OPEC.
