Nearly 65 percent of Azerbaijan Insurance Company fees and payments are for health insurance

Nearly 65 percent of fees and payments of the Azerbaijan International Insurance Company relate to health insurance, chairman of the company's board Mammad Sadiq Mammadov told Trend on Monday.

The company collected 1.234 million Manat on this type in January 2013 (total fees of the company amounted to 1.92 million Manat), paid 378,150 Manat (total payments hit 579,600 Manat).

The company ranked seventh in the ranking of Azerbaijani insurance companies in terms of fees in Jan. and sixth in terms of the volume of paid claims.

About 22 percent of the fees (416,310 Manat) and about 30 percent of payments (167,940 Manat) of the company fell to voluntary vehicle insurance (CASCO).

The company collected insurance premiums from accidents and diseases at the amount of 123,490 Manat (paid 2,480 Manat), cargo insurance against fire and other risks - 91,260 Manat (paid 32,570 Manat), cargo insurance - 26,200 Manat (no payments) in Jan.

The company has not obtained a permit for dealing in compulsory kinds of insurance. The International Insurance Company was established in 2002.

The official exchange rate is 0.7847 AZN/USD on Feb. 19.
